As a member, CIV:LAB’s makerspace becomes your makerspace which you can visit whenever you want during working hours. You can consider it a getaway from your busy life, and an inspiring space that increases your desire for thinking creatively, encouraging you to innovate, experiment, and make something new. It could be a decorative wooden piece, or a handy chair. It could be fixing a broken lamp, or trying to build a miniature vehicle for your two years old son. It could be anything you think of, with no limits to your imagination

One of the advantages of becoming a member is that you become one of CIV:LAB's community and have the chance to meet with other members. This communication will enrich your knowledge (knowledge transfer), and you will gain new skills (know-how). When seeing others work on their products, you will feel a positive energy driving you towards achieving your goal and to overcome making-related obstacles. Things might not work from the first time, all makers know! so having continuous support is crucial, and this is our goal.

If you are still a beginner, and would like to be professionally trained, we can arrange that for you, or you can contact your trainers and meet up with them in your makerspace. This enables them to train you with the tools you have access to, and recommend other tools for us to provide expanding the variety of tools in your makerspace.

Your kids (ages 5+) can also join as members and visit CIV:LAB after their school hours. They can come to experiment and convert their ideas into products assisted by our friendly team whose role is to encourage them all the way and work with them to improve their skills. Your children can also participate in CIV:LAB’s offered courses suitable for their ages. These courses are different from the membership registrations and will definitely be with special prices for our young members. CIV:LAB’s courses are always hands-on activities which are planned and structured to be able to achieve their deliverables during the time they are offered, while membership entries are more flexible and give the child a different feel from school. Young members were found to feel more relaxed, confident, and calm, developing positive critical thinking skills, working safely with an increased awareness of their different actions.

To qualify as a member, one has to either take the full Woodworking Course or pass the Safety Rules and the Hand-tools Training Compulsory Sessions.

To become a member, please follow these simple steps:
